Zoe loves going outside. We go for a few walks a day, and our walks take us around the yard and the public land and buildings that lie behind us and on our northeast side. (You can see the old red brick public utility building and the county history museum (housed in the white building) in the background.) She loves to pull leaves off the trees, feel the bark of the trees, and play with sticks. Rhonda and I also usually spend a couple hours in the backyard, whether doing work or relaxing, and Zoe sits at such times on a large blanket and plays with her toys and what she can gather up from the ground (grass, sticks, stems, pecan blossoms). She thought it was hilarious that we brought a little blanket and the camera on our most recent walk. The spot where she's sitting is one of her favorites, as it gives a good view of the traffic on Nance Street, and Zoe loves to watch the traffic.
